Ok, so I really wanted to justify buying a whole jar of Gel
Medium after doing my Photos on Wood and I tried researching online what else
to use it on. I found some tutorial for glass (which I might do later on down
the road) and some more projects on wood. Well, that wasn’t different enough
for me…so I decided to experiment...HA! Check out my Craft Inspirations and DIY tab to find out how to make it. BTW, the metal shingle only costed me 33 cents! It looks really cool.
now that's sooo cool! Love your cat photo, it's really nice :)
ReplyDeleteBirdBunny, Thanks. I think its cool too...I think it actually looks better in person, the flash doesn't do it justice in the picture.
Deleteis this a regular photo?
ReplyDeleteWell, it's an image that was printed on regular copier paper (not photo paper) on a laser printer. You can see how to make them on my Crafts and Inspiration tab if you like to know more about how I made it also.
DeleteHow did you mirror your image? I cannot figure it out on word. Thanks:)
ReplyDeleteKristenJ, Be careful with Word. It won't keep the high resolution for a clear, sharp image. If it's not going to be a big photo, you can mirror it on Word by right clicking on the image, go to Format Picture, go to 3D Rotation, and on the X axis enter in 180 degrees (this is for Word 07.) I hope this helps!
DeleteYolanda, how long did you leave the paper on the shingle before you removed it??
ReplyDeleteSuch a great & practical idea!
Missy, Thanks. I waited a whole day just to make sure it was completely dry.
DeleteI can't find the tin shingles at HD in small size. Are they called something else? They start in 3' sizes
ReplyDeleteThey might be on a different aisle from the shingles. There's usually rolls of metal or ones like in the photo. Maybe you can ask a Home Depot employee where it's at if you show him/her on your phone.
